Requirements
- Experience & Design Proficiency: Over 4 years of experience as a product designer with strong theoretical and practical design skills; up-to-date with current components, patterns, trends, technologies, and research
- Tool Expertise & Design Systems: Expert in Figma and proficient with various design tools; experienced in creating, maintaining, and extending design systems and component libraries
- User-Centered Problem Solving: Ability to simplify complex, data-heavy scenarios into user-friendly solutions; skilled in data-driven design, conducting user research (including interviews and testing), and clearly communicating insights
- Interaction, Information & Content Design: Proficient in interaction design, information architecture, and information design; experienced in UX copywriting and content design
- Agile Experience & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Familiarity with working in an agile product environment; proven ability to work effectively within a product team, including product managers, engineers, and QA specialists
- Technical Understanding & Consistency Advocacy: Knowledge of front-end frameworks and development technologies, understanding their implications for design feasibility; champion for platform consistency, ensuring alignment across disciplines and teams
- Communication & Facilitation Skills: Excellent at presenting and explaining ideas and findings; ability to inspire and motivate during design sessions and workshops, ensuring accurate implementation of solutions
- Data Analysis & Product Lifecycle Management: Experience leveraging qualitative and quantitative data for insights; proven track record of delivering value swiftly, overseeing products through their lifecycle, measuring success, and iterating continuously
- Accessibility Awareness & Industry Experience: Understanding of accessibility guidelines and their practical application in design; experience in the market research or tech industries is a plus
Responsibilities
- Own and Execute Product Design: Lead UI, UX, and service design across the entire product life cycle—Discovery, Analysis, Build, and Usage—producing designs from early-stage wireframes and prototypes to high-fidelity interfaces
- Deliver Seamless User Experiences: Create connected experiences using consistent design systems and common UX patterns, balancing user needs with commercial goals to extract early value for tactical gain
- Research and Validate Designs: Conduct thorough discovery of problem areas and customer pain points using qualitative and quantitative research, including user research and usability testing, to inform designs, validate decisions, and enhance the customer journey
- Develop and Maintain Design Systems: Define, evolve, and maintain design systems and component libraries, collaborating with engineers to ensure correct implementation
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with product managers, engineering managers, and quality assurance as part of a cross-functional team to define team roadmaps and goals
- Manage Multiple Projects: Balance workload and priorities across multiple concurrent projects

- Salary range £55k-65k per annum. Salaries are benchmarked annually
