Product Designer, Extensibility

As a technically-minded product designer, you will shape tools, APIs, and experiences that empower developers to build plugins and integrations within the Figma editor. Collaborate with engineering, product, and the developer community to push creative boundaries. This full-time role can be based in a US hub or remotely within the United States. You will contribute to product strategy, deliver compelling narratives around product needs, and design high-quality product improvements. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing UX and UI for software, ideally with a focus on developer tools
• Experience working independently and collaboratively to explore design solutions from concept to implementation
• Proven ability to create simple, scalable solutions for complex user experiences across multiple products
• Experience managing complex projects that involve collaboration across different teams and organizational boundaries
• Proficiency using prototyping or concepts to communicate design decisions effectively

Responsibilities

• Contribute to overall strategy and decision-making about product direction
• Help deliver and refine clear storytelling around product needs and opportunities
• Work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, design, and research peers
• Create, collaborate, and iterate on flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals
• Design and ship high-quality product improvements

Preferred Qualifications

• A deep understanding of developer concepts like APIs, OAuth and other code concepts
• Familiarity with the developer community and developer platforms
• Experience building your own plugins and extensions for Figma or other tools
• A passion for creating accessible, user-friendly designs that cater to a broad audience
• A knack for identifying and solving ambiguous problems, shaping them into clear, actionable goals
