Summary

Join HashiCorp Design as a Product Designer II for Waypoint and help maintain a user-experience focus across the product. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize improvements, contribute to product strategy, and guide innovations from concept to release. You will own the end-to-end design process, combining research and creativity to deliver elegant solutions for technical users. This role requires a strong background in enterprise product design, experience with enterprise software, and a collaborative spirit. Requirements

  • Have established yourself as a professional enterprise Product Designer
  • Have experience building enterprise software for security, developer tooling, or developer experience
  • Have experience enabling a team to turn complex workflows into simple user experiences

Responsibilities

  • Be a passionate designer who thrives in uncertainty and ambiguity
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to set priorities, goals, and roadmaps, and help guide product innovations from early concepts to GA release
  • Own the end-to-end design process, develop a domain understanding of Waypoint and its user workflows
  • Combine research and creativity to deliver practical, elegant solutions for technical users, validating designs through generative research, user testing, and analytics
  • Partner with engineers on feasibility, responsiveness, and details of components
  • Work iteratively in an agile environment, adapting quickly to user and stakeholder feedback to refine and enhance designs
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to determine and prioritize new features and enhancements critical to the success of HashiCorp customers and community

  • Value feedback and seeking ways to learn and grow as a designer
  • Understand the importance of culture and building a fun, high-functioning team
  • Have familiarity with or are willing to learn the key workflows involved in HashiCorp products (Terraform, Packer, Vagrant, Waypoint, Nomad, Vault, Boundary, Consul)
