Product Designer II

Summary

Join Housecall Pro as a Product Designer II and be passionate about design systems and component-driven design. Collaborate with designers and engineers to ensure a consistent user experience across platforms. Build, test, and maintain design components for mobile apps and web. Partner with product managers and engineering leads to create customer-focused solutions. Contribute to the evolution of the design system and identify opportunities for new design patterns. Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience in the SaaS product and SMB software space
• Portfolio that highlights high quality design, solid UX, and problem solving that you have created or largely contributed to
• Knowledge of technical constraints for web, iOS, and Android
• Understand accessibility guidelines

Responsibilities

• Advocate for the customer’s needs while balancing the goals of the business
• Create solutions for our products through design explorations, documentation, presentations, and collaboration across all of our platforms, including web, iOS, and Android
• Execute competitor analysis, discovery research, and usability testing
• Build event models, user flows, customer journeys, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high fidelity UI designs
• Present and communicate concepts and design rationale to team members and stakeholders
• Innovate and strengthen design principles and repeatable patterns
• Inspire the team and our customers by bringing new ideas and visual experiences to the table and defining next-generation interfaces
• Provide guidelines and documentation that connects and resonates with the teams building our products

Preferred Qualifications

• Incredible visual design skills that come together with interaction design to make experiences that are functional and delightful
• Thinking in systems; you can see how all the parts fit together, and how a small change can propagate throughout the system over time
• You care about the details and the craft of your designs and how those designs get translated on a deep level
