Join 3Pillar Global as a Development Manager/Scrum Master to lead high-performing development teams, ensuring client satisfaction and exceptional product delivery. You will oversee team performance, manage client relationships, and drive product excellence. Accountability includes governance within your teams, escalating issues as needed. Success is measured by a delivery scorecard tied to client satisfaction, revenue, and margin targets. This role demands full-time billable work and a commitment to achieving results. You will lead a globally distributed team and report to the Client Engagement Manager. The role requires expertise in full-cycle product development, Agile methodologies, backlog management, and stakeholder communication.
Requirements
- Full-cycle product development expertise
- Expertise implementing Agile software development methodologies and leading teams using these for building digital products
- Experience and knowledge in creating and managing actionable backlogs
- Ability to work with product managers to assess business and market requirements and convert into actionable backlog
- A thorough understanding of how to plan, resource, and deliver projects
- Executive level written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated success communicating with, influencing, and setting expectations with technical and business stakeholders
- Data-minded and methodical approach to delivery accountability
- Demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude
- 3 years of relevant product leadership experience, with a proven track record of successfully launching products
- 3 years of Scrum Master experience and managerial experience, providing successful delivery of agile products
- 1 year of consulting experience, preferably in a professional services firm or in an internal consultancy to executive stakeholders
- Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written
Responsibilities
- Lead the Team
- Manages the team in producing working software each iteration in accordance with the team’s commitments
- Facilitates planning sessions, team meetings, and other “rituals,” such as the daily standup, iteration planning, iteration kickoff, iteration review, and retrospectives
- Ensures that the backlog of work for the team is well-defined with respect to scope, clarity of requirements, and acceptance criteria
- Helps remove roadblocks to delivery success
- Helps the team follow its defined process, and leads process improvement efforts
- Leads the team in evolving a product mindset, using our strengths to drive innovation in addressing our customers’ needs
- Leads the team in developing a consultative approach when facing the custo mer
- Manage Delivery
- Understands the client’s business strategy and objectives as they relate to the product being developed; ensures that the client’s expectations are met or exceeded. Leads the team to develop this understanding
- Dives in with the team, participating in requirements, analysis, design, coding, and testing activities as needed
- Oversees the completion of stories, ensuring that the team understands what “Done” means for each story
- Ensures that all production deliveries meet acceptance, operational, and quality criteria
- Interfaces between the team and the customer
- Communicates effectively within the team and with all stakeholders by providing high-quality visibility into planned and actual deliverables
- Works closely with Client Services team to ensure a good resource mix for the team ensuring customer delight and at the same time enabling the team to grow within the organization
- Develops camaraderie and strong collaboration across both the 3Pillar team and the client team
- Assists in developing strategies to take advantage of opportunities within the account and works collaboratively with the Client Partner to execute them
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience hiring, managing, and developing individual contributors
- Experience using quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions and drive change
- Occasional travel to 3Pillar sites and client locations to support ongoing team and client engagement
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, beneficial but not required
