Product Engineer

Summary

Join Tailscale's growing team as a full-time Product Engineer focusing on billing-related projects. You will contribute to client code and backend services, develop billing integrations, lead pricing and billing projects, and own the entire product lifecycle. Collaboration with UX/UI designers and product managers is key. As a fully remote company, we seek a motivated individual who thrives in asynchronous environments and can contribute to product strategy. Requirements

• Proficiency with Golang
• Strong track record of working with a product mindset and influencing product strategy
• Billing systems experience including Stripe integrations
• Experience with backend and client development
• User-focused design and problem-solving abilities
• Cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to give and process constructive feedback, as well as work independently
• Flexibility to adjust to the dynamic nature of a startup
• Adaptable development and iterative mindset

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, PMs, and other engineers
• Contribute creative ideas for product features
• Develop Tailscale product features collaboratively
• Conduct and participate in the code review process
• Enhance product quality and maintainability
• Influence roadmap with technical insights
• Create technical prototypes for potential features
• Incorporate user feedback and insights into the development process
