Product Engineer II

Summary

Join Esri as a Product Engineer – Infrastructure Solutions and collaborate with customers and teams to design, develop, and support geospatial solutions for public works and transportation agencies. You will discover customer needs, configure ArcGIS applications, provide input on product design, and work with various teams to define and develop solutions. Responsibilities include drafting product briefs, designing test cases, assessing product quality, and presenting solutions. A minimum of two years of experience in the public works or transportation industry applying ArcGIS is required, along with excellent communication skills and a bachelor's degree. Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience in the public works or transportation industry and experience applying ArcGIS to support specific industry workflows
• Demonstrated ability to document and build GIS workflows
• Creative problem solver and a team player
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in geography or related field

Responsibilities

• Discover customer needs and craft geospatial solutions that cater to the public works and transportation industries
• Configure ArcGIS apps, tools, and information models for industry-specific uses
• Provide input into product design aspects to assure our products are simple to use and provide a great experience for our customers
• Work closely with software development, business development, and professional services teams to define and develop solutions
• Draft and review ArcGIS Solutions product briefs, presentations, and documentation
• Design and author test cases for functionality, performance, scalability, and durability; execute both manual and automated tests, analyze test results, and report results
• Continually assess product quality, release readiness, and maintain existing ArcGIS Solutions
• Present and evangelize solutions to internal and external audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of asset management, roadway management, aviation, transit, and related government workflows
• Programming experience with scripting languages such as Python or Arcade
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro and configuring web-based GIS applications
