QA Engineer II

Summary

Join MINT MOBILE as a QA Engineer II and contribute to the end-to-end quality assurance of all products, services, apps, and websites for Ultra Mobile and Mint Mobile. Work cross-functionally with developers, product managers, and project managers throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Perform various testing activities, including test planning, test case development and execution, regression testing, and automation test script creation. Triage bugs, retest fixes, and generate measures to ensure high product quality. Verify data accuracy, completeness, and consistency using SQL queries and other validation techniques. This role is remote, requires PST working hours, and is based in the United States.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 4-6 years of testing experience with a full understanding of SDLC processes
• Ability to work closely with product managers and development teams including BI, E-Comm, and apps teams to distill requirements into scenarios that can be verified and tested
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience with Agile and Scrum
• Experience testing databases, backend services, APIs, and iOS/And
• Experience running and creating automation test scripts

Responsibilities

• Working cross-functionally with developers, product managers, and project managers for test planning, test case development, and execution of the test plan/test case
• Working with development teams on Sprint Planning and test requirements as part of the Sprint
• Performing regression testing on existing products and services including apps and websites
• Testing applications on several layers (UI, API, database)
• Evaluating test results, bug triage, and generating measures to ensure the highest level of product quality
• Creating automated tests to improve test coverage and execution speed across the application
• Understand the ETL process, including extraction, transformation, and loading stages, and how data is mapped between sources and destinations
• Verify data accuracy, completeness, and consistency using SQL queries and other validation techniques
