Summary
Join nTop's Product Team as a highly skilled Product Engineer! You will collaborate with various teams to develop innovative solutions for challenging engineering design problems. This role requires expert-level knowledge of nTop's product and a deep understanding of customer workflows. You will identify and develop physics-based solutions, build prototypes and demos, and contribute to technical documentation. The position offers flexibility with remote, hybrid, or on-site options in NY. Compensation is $105,000-120,000 annually.
Requirements
- 3 - 5 years of experience in technical pre-sales, engineering, customer support, or product management in the Computer Aided Design or Computer Aided Engineering industries
- A BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant science field
- Applied expertise in engineering simulation, including finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics
- Demonstrable knowledge of generative design methods, including design of experiments, optimization, and machine learning
- Highly competent with Python and open-source libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and SciPy
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and solve hard engineering problems using sound judgment to assess risks
- Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional environments
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- A self-starter with exceptional attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop physics-based simulation, optimization, and machine-learning focused solutions based on customer use cases
- Build custom prototypes and demos to test new ideas with potential customers
- Develop best simulation and optimization practices with our technical field teams for common applications
- Document product specifications for the Engineering team and develop tailored solutions in the user environment
- Build technical enablement material for our Go-to-Market teams
- Contribute to technical documentation and other customer support resources
- Contribute insights to product leadership for roadmap formulation
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-5 years of experience as a design engineer in aerospace, automotive or other engineering-driven industries
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other scientific field
