Product Manager Database Observability

Summary
Join Grafana Labs as a Product Manager for Database Observability (DB O11y), a cloud-exclusive database monitoring product. You will develop the product vision and strategy, own the roadmap and collateral, and collaborate with leadership on goals. As the primary advocate for DB O11y, you will communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders. You will work closely with engineering, design, and UX teams, ensuring smooth information flow. A key responsibility is validating core customer problems and ensuring the product meets their needs. You will also contribute to packaging and pricing proposals, and integrate DB O11y into the Grafana Cloud suite. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, and experience in product management, B2B SaaS, and observability products.
Requirements
- A BS/BA in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience in Product Management
- 3+ years of experience in a B2B SaaS product
- Experience using or building observability products and/or developer tools, either internally as an SRE or for external customers
- Experience with open source software and/or commercial open source companies
- Experience working with engineering teams to design and build products in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Transform ideas and feedback into a product vision and roadmap
- Empathize with customer problems in order to collect user needs, requirements, and pain points
- Curate and properly represent user feedback to Engineering, while providing evidence to support tradeoffs and priorities
- Work closely with PMM to enable GTM on product differentiation, including creating and updating presentations, documentation, website content, datasheets, and whitepapers
- Use your deep product expertise to make decisions about our go-to-market strategies, pricing, packaging, licensing and tiering
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with OpenTelemetery protocols, receivers, and exporters
- Experience as a DBA or running, provisioning, managing relational databases
- Experience using or building agents, telemetry collectors, or related tools and services
- Experience partnering with UX to build delightful features with solid designs
