Product Security Engineer in Worldwide

Summary

Aztec is hiring an experienced applied cryptographer or cybersecurity professional with a love for applied cryptography and experience in auditing and breaking cryptographic protocols to join their security team. The team's goal is to secure Aztec's codebase, including their proving system backend library, Zero Knowledge Proofs DSL, node software, and Private Execution Environment. The candidate will be responsible for finding potential security issues, writing tooling, and assisting with audits. Candidates must have at least 3 years of security experience in a software engineering context, industry programming experience in a low-level language like Rust or C++, familiarity with applied cryptography and discrete mathematics, and excellent written and verbal communication skills on technical topics. Participation in CTFs in a cryptography role and compiler development experience are pluses. Requirements

• Security experience in a software engineering context (≥ 3 years)
• Industry (or large-project academic) programming experience in a low-level language (e.g., Rust or C++)
• Familiarity with applied cryptography and discrete mathematics (fields, elliptic curves)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills on technical topics

Responsibilities

• Find potential security issues in Aztec's codebase
• Write tooling to detect bugs
• Assist internal software teams and external contractors with audits
