Requirements
- Strong background in managing complex software development programs, with an emphasis on risk management, driving delivery, and cross-functional collaboration in a regulated environment
- Ability to proactively manage high priority, key programs
- In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements for medical software products (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485)
- Proven track record of successfully driving programs from concept through delivery, with a focus on managing scope, schedule, and quality
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks with a team before they affect program delivery
- Strong communication of software projects and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and aligning stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities, balancing strategic thinking with detailed execution
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field with a strong preference towards a computer science of software engineering background
- 8+ years of experience in software program or project management, with at least 5 years of management experience, preferably in the medical device or similarly regulated industry
Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation of cross-functional program plans and detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations. Ensure that all teams are working towards common goals and tracking progress against key milestones
- Lead a team of program managers, project managers, and release managers, to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery of software products and updates, from inception through post-launch
- Proactively identify and manage risks across all programs, developing mitigation strategies to address issues before they impact project timelines, scope, or quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, Research, etc.) to define clear priorities and deliverables, ensuring alignment and buy-in across all stakeholders
- Communicate regularly with senior Technology and cross-functional leadership and key stakeholders, providing transparent updates on program status, risks, and performance. Ensure that all parties are informed of escalated potential issues and that solutions are identified promptly
- Ensure all programs adhere to applicable regulatory standards and industry best practices (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485) maintaining a focus on quality and compliance throughout the program lifecycle
- Establish program and project management best practices for defining, managing, and communicating plans and status. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by reviewing and optimizing program management processes, tools, and methodologies
- Provide leadership and mentorship to program managers and project managers, helping to develop their skills and ensure successful execution. Lead by example, promoting a results-driven, collaborative, and problem-solving culture
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Project Management (PMP, PgMP) or Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master)

A reasonable estimate of the yearly base compensation range is $180,000-$240,000 , cash bonus, and stock options
