Project Director

Summary

Join Leadtech as the Project Director and oversee the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of AI-powered functionalities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform business opportunities into scalable AI solutions. This role demands technical expertise, business acumen, and strong leadership. You will act as a liaison between executives and operational teams, ensuring alignment and excellent delivery. Responsibilities include defining AI product development strategies, managing projects from concept to launch, and building high-performing teams. The position requires strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in project or program management in a software or tech-driven environment
• 3+ years of experience specifically leading AI/ML projects or product lines
• Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional software projects from inception to launch
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, trends, and delivery challenges (you don't need to code, but you should understand how it works)
• Experience working with agile methodologies, modern project management tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or technical MSc is a plus

Responsibilities

• Define and own the execution strategy for AI product development in alignment with company goals
• Translate abstract AI innovation opportunities into structured product roadmaps and project plans
• Work with the executive team to prioritize AI initiatives based on business impact and feasibility
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of AI functionlities—from concept validation to production launch
• Build and manage high-performing, cross-functional teams across product, engineering, design, and AI
• Define and track project KPIs, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring on-time and on-budget execution
• Champion agile delivery practices and continuous improvement processes
• Serve as the key point of contact between leadership, clients, and internal teams for all AI product initiatives
• Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, business-oriented manner to stakeholders
• Proactively manage risks and resolve issues that may impact project scope, timeline, or quality
• Experience collaborating with marketing teams and knowledge of user acquisition across major traffic channels
• Allocate resources efficiently across multiple AI programs
• Collaborate with finance and HR on budgeting, hiring, and vendor relationships related to AI projects
• Evaluate external partnerships, platforms, and tools to accelerate AI delivery

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in applied AI domains such as NLP, computer vision, predictive modeling, or generative AI
• Exposure to enterprise-level AI implementations or consumer-facing AI apps
• Previous experience in a scale-up or fast-paced product development environment
• Experience working with offshore/remote teams and multicultural environments
