Summary

Join D2L's Talent Acquisition team as a Project Manager, Intelligent PMO Systems, leading cross-functional projects and designing intelligent systems to enhance PMO performance. This role blends traditional project management with technical ownership of AI and automation tools. The ideal candidate possesses a systems design engineering mindset, a passion for operational innovation, and strong communication skills. You will lead project planning and execution, design intelligent workflows and dashboards, identify opportunities for AI and automation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The position requires 1-3 years of project management experience, proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and experience with AI/ML tools. A degree in Systems Design Engineering or a related field is recommended.

Requirements

  • 1 – 3 years of project management experience, ideally in SaaS or tech environments
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
  • Proficient in common project and work management tools
  • Experience with AI/ML tools, automation platforms, and systems integration
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong business acumen and thrive in an organization that is simultaneously mission, growth, and business driven

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of PMO projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies
  • Manage timelines, budgets, risks, and resources to ensure successful outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align expectations and report progress
  • Architect and implement intelligent workflows, dashboards, and automation pipelines to support PMO operations
  • Integrate AI agents and tools with project management platforms and data sources
  • Maintain and optimize AI systems for scalability, usability, and performance
  • Serve as the technical operator and administrator for AI-enabled PMO tools
  • Identify opportunities to embed AI and automation into PMO processes
  • Collaborate with PMO leadership to prioritize and implement intelligent solutions
  • Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights
  • Support change management and training efforts to drive adoption of intelligent systems
  • Partner with Program Managers and other PMO team members to support strategic initiatives
  • Champion continuous improvement through technology and data-driven decision-making
  • Contribute to excellence the development of a next-generation, AI-powered PMO
  • Demonstrate a passion for leadership effective teams, fostering a high-performing culture
  • Connect program/project teams’ daily responsibilities to D2L’s mission by setting clear objectives and performance expectations
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve corporate and team goals, effectively managing relationships with other D2L teams
  • Partner with peers and leaders to enhance productivity and efficiency, holding the program team accountable for high-quality outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Systems Design Engineering, Computer Science, or related
  • Agile, Project Management, and/or Change Management certification(s) a strong plusβ€―(i.e., PMP, Six Sigma CSM, SAFe, Prosci)
