Project Manager

You will deliver complex technical solutions involving Cloud Landing Zones, cloud-native software development, and AI technologies. Responsibilities include managing the full project lifecycle, developing comprehensive plans, overseeing Cloud Landing Zone establishment, and leading AI system implementation. You will serve as the primary client contact, mitigate risks, manage budgets, mentor teams, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards. The ideal candidate will stay current on emerging technologies and collaborate with other teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT project management, with a strong emphasis on delivering complex technical solutions
• Bachelor's degree (ideally in an IT or related field)
• Strong technical acumen
• Proven experience managing projects related to Cloud Landing Zones (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), cloud-native software development, and/or AI/ML implementations
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and experience applying them effectively
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams to success
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with project management software

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full lifecycle of IT projects, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and closure
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource allocation, and budget
• Oversee the establishment of Cloud Landing Zones, ensuring adherence to security, compliance, and architectural best practices
• Manage cloud-native software development projects, including agile methodologies, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and microservices architectures
• Lead the implementation and scaling of AI systems, the application of AI tools, and the use of Generative AI for legacy software modernization
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to ensure successful project outcomes
• Manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring projects are delivered within allocated financial resources
• Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including status reports, stakeholder communications, and lessons learned
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client requirements
• Stay current with emerging technologies, particularly in cloud computing, AI, and software development trends relevant to the public sector
• Collaborate with business development and technical teams to support proposal development and new business opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working with US Public Sector customers (Department of Defense, Federal Civilian agencies, State & Local Governments) is highly desired
• PMP, CSM, or other relevant project management certifications are a plus
• Understanding of government contracting processes and regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS) is a plus
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance may be required
