Summary

IPS Technology Services is hiring a Project Manager for a long-term remote position with relocation to SE MI. The candidate must have 5+ years of project management experience, a background in the Health or Insurance industry, and experience managing projects using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies. The Project Manager will manage Blueprint workstream projects, supporting business case development, facilitating project decision making, and developing end-to-end project plans. Required skills include full project lifecycle experience, management, critical thinking, facilitation, translation, information conveyance, proactivity, resolve, balance, diplomacy, continuous improvement, process architecture, and proficiency in Microsoft office suite tools.

Requirements

  • Project management (5+ years)
  • Health, or Insurance industry background (3+ years or combination thereof)
  • Experience managing projects using Waterfall (5+ years) and Agile methodologies (3+ years)
  • Full project lifecycle experience. Ability to execute effectively to PMBOK’s 10 knowledge areas
  • Management. Experience with leading by influence
  • Critical thinking. Contemplates the broader picture within the context of the details
  • Facilitation. Skilled in the art of facilitation
  • Translation. Builds bridges and supports partnerships
  • Information conveyance. Ability to author meaningful communications and develop presentations that educate/inform a diverse array of audiences
  • Proactive. Has a natural inclination toward recognizing risks and issues
  • Resolve. Relentless in the pursuit of follow-up to achieve resolution, close loops, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction
  • Balanced. Knows how to lead and the importance of β€˜rolling-up sleeves’ to accomplish goals
  • Diplomacy. Possesses political savvy, knows when to engage, to what degree, and when support
  • Continuous Improvement. Inquisitive with a strong desire to learn new concepts, technologies, and environments
  • Process Architecture. Skilled in the concepts of proper flowcharting, process, and procedure development
  • Knowledgeable on advanced functionality of Microsoft office suite tools, including Outlook and Visio (5+ years). Comfortable navigating within SharePoint and hosting meetings with Teams, Skype, or both

Responsibilities

  • Support/facilitate business case and business requirements development
  • Facilitate project business decision making
  • Develop and manage complete end-to-end project plan which includes business implementation, readiness, and technical milestones
  • Compile status reports reflecting all aspects of project execution including business implementation, readiness and technical inputs
  • Work with all project stakeholders to resolve project issues or mitigate risks
  • Facilitate the development of User Acceptance Testing scenarios and business approvals
  • Facilitate defect tracking and resolution in coordination with IT
  • Provide consolidated (business and IT) project status reporting, verbally and in writing
  • Ensure proper transition of ongoing business activities prior to project closure
  • Support business readiness activities including workgroup breakout sessions, process, and procedure development
