Summary
Join NEC Public Safety as a client-facing Project Manager, responsible for delivering large-scale software implementations to Emergency Services. You will manage all project aspects from contract to go-live, including resource planning, stakeholder management, and budget adherence. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage escalations and issues. You will represent NEC in customer meetings and ensure project success within budget and timelines. SC clearance is essential. Requirements
- Proven experience as project manager of significant software implementations
- Thorough understanding of project/programme management techniques and methods
- Strong project management knowledge and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a calm and effective way
- Working knowledge of MS office and project management software
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- An analytical mind-set with great problem-solving abilities
- Numerate, methodical, approachable, an excellent communicator at many levels
- Strong commercial awareness, ability to understand the budget and report on it
- Proven ability to self-manage and remain productive under pressure
- Professionally presented and a great ambassador for the Company
- Positive work ethic which includes willingness to work extended hours where appropriate
- The ability to undergo SC clearance is essential for this role
Responsibilities
- Deliver all aspects of a project through go live and into service, tracking deadlines, milestones and processes, to the required quality, time and cost
- Manage client implementations of our Public Safety software from contract signature through to go-live including, resource planning, stakeholder management of the force, 3rd party contractors and coordinating resources from internal & external teams to move the project forward to completion
- Ensure that escalations are managed and any issues addressed, and attend and run all internal boards to senior stakeholders
- Represent NEC within all Customer meetings and ensure that the NEC delivery budget is adhered to
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferably Degree or equivalent
- PRINCE2 practitioner
