Summary
Join NRTC, a member-driven technology cooperative, as a Project Manager leading the onboarding and implementation of managed services for member organizations. You will ensure project success through collaboration, communication, and risk management, managing 8–12 concurrent projects. This role involves external coordination with broadband members and internal collaboration across departments. You will support member satisfaction, revenue onboarding, and the scalability of NRTC’s managed services. The position requires strong project management skills, experience in technical project management, and excellent communication and leadership abilities. Success in this role will contribute directly to the growth and success of NRTC and its members.
Requirements
- Strong command of project management frameworks (e.g., PMBOK) applied to real-world projects
- Proven success managing multi-phase, externally facing technical projects under critical timelines
- Positive, professional communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborative leadership style that motivates teams to meet aggressive goals
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Quick adaptability to evolving tools and project management technologies
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in project management, business, IT, or related field
- 3–5 years managing technical projects in service delivery or telecom environments
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Responsibilities
- Utilize standardized project management processes, templates, and tools to ensure structured execution and track project progress
- Lead project work with internal teams, maintaining an engaged, collaborative, and motivating approach
- Collaborate with Members to meet milestones and deadlines, reflecting NRTC’s member-driven values
- Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks proactively
- Manage communications and reporting for diverse stakeholders, including project teams, PMO, internal departments, and Members
- Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and updating project management templates and practices
- Research and apply industry best practices to enhance project delivery
- Track deliverables, prevent scope creep, and maintain schedule and budget compliance
- Coordinate cross-functionally to align complex implementation timelines
- Facilitate knowledge transfer post-launch and document lessons learned
- Support change management by identifying adoption barriers and facilitating training and communication
- Define and track KPIs to measure project success and member satisfaction
- Balance member expectations, technical feasibility, and organizational priorities with sound judgment
- Provide mentorship to peers
- Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in rural broadband, telecom, or member-owned organizations
- PMP certification or equivalent
