Summary

System1 is hiring a Project Manager for their Data Platform team. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing technical projects, communicating with stakeholders, and managing project plans using Jira and Confluence. They should have 3-5 years of experience as a technically focused project manager in data systems, BI, and/or analytics, and an understanding of data terminology and processes.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of demonstrated experience as a technically focused project manager in data systems, BI and/or analytics
• Understanding of data terminology and processes, such as AWS, databases, APIs, orchestration, and CI/CD
• Ability to read SQL and technical documentation
• Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules

Responsibilities

• Planning, scheduling, and executing technical projects
• Own cross-department communication with all stakeholders including engineering teams, operations teams, and business development teams
• Work collaboratively with engineering and product management to support engineering and product goals, initiatives, and directives
• Create and execute detailed project plans that deliver technical projects on time
• Lead scrum ceremonies with a flexible approach
• Manage communications with all stakeholders to keep them informed around status, timelines, and obstacles throughout the project lifecycle
• Gather qualitative and quantitative data on the engineering team’s capacity and manage velocity to achieve the highest level of competency as a team
• Implement continuous improvements to project management processes
