Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field required
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in project management and structured cabling design required
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems, industry standards (e.g., BICSI, NEC, EIA/TIA), and building codes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., ClickUp, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects from initiation to completion
  • Ability to multitask, manage resources efficiently, and adapt to evolving project requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage low-voltage design projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and to client satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and milestones, track progress throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and subcontractors to ensure project deliverables align with requirements
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, provide status updates and address any concerns
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations and ensuring exceptional customer service
  • Understand client requirements and objectives and translate them into actionable plans
  • Design structured cabling solutions in accordance with industry standards and client specifications
  • Work with CAD/Revit team to produce detailed design documentation, including system architecture, space planning, and construction drawings
  • Collaborate with internal technology staff and vendors to integrate structured cabling systems with other building technologies
  • Conduct field verification site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements related to structured cabling systems
  • Ensure that all structured cabling installations adhere to quality standards and industry best practices

Preferred Qualifications

Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) preferred
