Requirements
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited nursing program with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Practice
- Current, unencumbered PMHNP and FNP licenses in multiple states (additional state licenses may be required based on patient location)
- Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) through the ANCC
- 2+ years of experience as a PMHNP, with demonstrated experience in telehealth
- Proficiency in conducting psychiatric assessments and providing medication management
- Experience in various psychotherapy modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, psychodynamic)
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnostic formulations via live synchronous video
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy, tailored to patient needs
- Provide evidence-based talk therapy through live synchronous video and asynchronous messaging modalities
- Monitor and evaluate patient response to treatment, adjusting interventions as necessary
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication adherence
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with all relevant regulations
- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards of practice, including patient confidentiality and informed consent
- Participate in team meetings, chart audits, and continuing education activities
- Stay informed of current research, best practices, and advancements in psychiatric mental health and telehealth
- Provide medication evaluation and management to patients within the LifeMD family of services including women's health, men's health, urgent care and other conditions, as needed by management
