Public Relations Intern

Summary

A boutique PR firm is seeking an intern with interest in PR, communications, storytelling, and technology to join their team. The candidate will be responsible for drafting content, building media lists, conducting research, identifying opportunities, monitoring media coverage, and staffing client events.

Requirements

• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, proactive attitude and understanding/grasp of urgency
• Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently
• Quick learner, creative thinker, problem solver and team player

Responsibilities

• Drafting clear and concise content including briefing documents, backgrounders and other communications materials
• Building out media lists for business, tech, health, transportation, sustainability (and more!)
• Conducting comprehensive research and competitive analyses for existing and prospective clients
• Identifying relevant conferences, awards and thought leadership opportunities for clients
• Monitoring media coverage daily and creating client-facing coverage reports
• Participating and taking detailed notes during weekly client meetings
• Staffing client events

Benefits

• The hourly rate for this role is $20.00 per hour
• In addition, we offer a $2,000 bonus after completion of the program
