Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in PR and communications, with a focus on technology or cybersecurity
  • Proven experience in managing communications during sensitive and high-stakes situations
  • Strong understanding of misinformation, disinformation, and social media dynamics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists and industry stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align communication efforts with business goals
  • Experience in crisis communication and issues management
  • Self-motivated and able to handle multiple, competing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to enhance Alethea's reputation and effectively convey its mission and values
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and other media participants, collaborating with external partners to amplify the company's message and initiatives
  • Lead the creation of compelling and impactful content, including press releases, blog posts, reports, whitepapers, and social media content, working closely with the CEO
  • Oversee the company's social media presence, including Linkedin, ensuring a consistent brand voice and engaging content
  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans to address potential challenges both internal and externally focused
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of communication efforts
