Summary

Join Meteor's Procurement division as a Purchasing Coordinator and support daily operations by processing purchase orders, creating quotes, and reviewing vendor confirmations. This remote (USA only) position requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and excellent communication. You will maintain order organization, enter data into the Delivery Schedule, and communicate with project teams. Prior purchasing or data entry experience is preferred. Requirements

  • High School diploma or its equivalent
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality of work
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to promptly respond to service requests and effectively manage difficult situations in a professional manner
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the organization of order requests in the Purchasing inbox
  • Review customer purchase orders for accuracy and communicate any discrepancies to project team for resolution
  • Process and organize all purchasing documentation such as new customer info, purchase orders, revisions, quotes, and maintaining acknowledgements
  • Enter new orders into the Delivery Schedule
  • Review vendor acknowledgements and enter ship dates into Delivery Schedule
  • Maintain effective communication with project teams on any order or acknowledgement issues or changes
  • Send product prices to sales reps when they reach out with those requests
  • Assist with creating quotes for sales reps if needed

Preferred Qualifications

Previous purchasing or data entry experience
