Summary

Join Webstacks, a high-growth website operations and marketing agency, as a Part-time Contractor Quality Assurance Tester in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This remote/hybrid role requires 1-3 years of experience developing and executing test plans to validate website functionality, performance, and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, document defects, and ensure product quality. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and communication skills and experience with Agile frameworks and testing software. While a bachelor's degree is preferred, equivalent work experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate website functionality, performance, and security
  • Documents and evaluates test results; reports to the development team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Document and report software defects using issue tracking systems and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution
  • Ensure that the final product satisfies the product requirements and meet end-user expectations
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover hidden defects and assess overall product quality from an end-user perspective
  • Conduct compatibility testing across different devices, browsers, and operating systems to ensure seamless user experiences
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in software testing methodologies
  • Regularly monitor Jira boards for incoming QA tickets
  • Compare page/component UI to approved design
  • Ensure all components are functioning as intended
  • Utilize Bugherd, loom, and other technologies to make callouts and effectively communicate issues to developers
  • Collaborate with Product Design, Program Management, Feature Developers, and other Quality Engineering team members to define requirements, ensure testability, and deliver high-quality features
  • Help develop test strategies for existing and new, unreleased features, and enhance existing QA workflow processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or equitable work experience in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Experience in Agile frameworks and regression testing desired
  • A good working knowledge of test management software, programming languages, and QA methodologies
  • High attention to detail and solid analytical skills
  • Works effectively in a team/outstanding written & verbal communication skills and has the ability to complete tasks autonomously
