Summary
Join Testlio's team of freelance software quality assurance analysts and contribute to the testing of mobile, web, and desktop applications. Work on projects ranging from 3 months to 1 year, with many extending beyond the initial term. This is a fully remote position, offering both part-time and full-time contract opportunities. The work involves designing and executing various test cases, reporting and tracking issues, analyzing results, and collaborating with stakeholders. You will utilize Agile methodologies and API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI. Testlio is an equal-opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a QA Analyst or similar role, with a strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and tools (such as JIRA, Bugzilla, TestRail, Xray or similar.)
- Experience with mobile and web applications, frontend and backend testing (including API testing.)
- Proficiency in identifying and documenting software bugs and issues
- Ability to solve technical tasks required during testing - such as test data generation, log capturing and basic analysis, working with browser developer tools, network logs analyzers, etc
- Experience in working in agile teams in a remote environment - proven track record of communication and collaboration with different stakeholders such as Scrum Masters, Product Owners and others
- Good knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD, and DevOps, as well as an understanding of test automation principles in effective SDLC
- Effective English communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment
- Drive to learn quickly and continuously expand knowledge
- Comfortable with a frequently changing environment and able to adapt fast
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Responsibilities
- Design and execute smoke, scripted, and exploratory test cases on mobile, web and desktop
- Conduct functional, localization, regression, and payments testing to ensure software meets quality standards
- Report, reproduce, and track issues found during testing
- Document and share test results, including bugs and potential risks
- Analyze test results, logs, and related data to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to align on goals, timelines, and deliverables
- Communicate test progress, issues, and risks clearly and proactively with stakeholders
- Generate test reports that provide actionable insights
- Design and execute API tests using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar
- Create, maintain, and review test cases and test suites aligned with business priorities and industry best practices
- Design and optimize effective test data
- Ensure the test library remains relevant by refactoring, updating, and deprecating tests as needed
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the systems under test
- Stay up to date with trends and advancements in software testing tools and methodologies
