QA Automation Engineer

Summary

Join Gorilla Logic as a Mid QA Automation Engineer and contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts for UI and API testing. You will work in a fast-paced Agile/Kanban environment, collaborating with developers and product managers to ensure high-quality deliverables. This role requires proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with UI automation frameworks, particularly Playwright. You will manage multiple priorities, deliver results efficiently, and provide clear reports on test results. The ideal candidate will have experience with CI/CD pipelines and a strong understanding of API testing principles.

• Hands-on experience with UI automation frameworks, particularly Playwright
• Strong understanding of API testing and automation principles
• Experience working in an Agile/Kanban development environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fluid, fast-paced setting
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing, prioritizing API automation
• Utilize Playwright with TypeScript for UI automation to ensure comprehensive coverage of complex user interactions
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables
• Manage and execute tests across multiple daily releases, identifying and addressing defects promptly
• Maintain a balance between UI (30%) and API (70%) test coverage to align with product needs and automation strategies
• Continuously refine and improve automation frameworks and processes to enhance efficiency and reliability
• Provide clear, actionable reports on test results and quality metrics

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the build process
• Knowledge of other automation tools or frameworks is a plus
• Experience in quality engineering for products with heavy UI interactions
