QA Automation Engineer

Summary

Join our team as a Quality Assurance Engineer and play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Azure-based applications. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive validation strategies, test plans, and test cases. Leverage your expertise in Azure services, .NET Core, and test automation tools to identify and resolve defects. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail will be essential in delivering high-quality software within sprint timeframes. This role requires 4-6 years of experience in end-to-end automation QA engineering and proficiency in test automation tools, preferably Playwright. Experience in Agile environments and knowledge of CI/CD tools are also crucial.

Requirements

• Have 4-6 years of experience in end-to-end Automation Quality Assurance (QA) Engineering
• Be proficient in test automation tools – Playwright is preferable
• Have experience working in Agile environments, specifically within sprint-based planning squads
• Have strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins) and version control systems (Git)
• Have expertise in API testing
• Have a solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile principles
• Possess strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Have a problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and a focus on delivering value within sprint timeframes

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive validation strategy ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices for Azure-based applications
• Create detailed test plans, cases, and scenarios ensuring thorough validation of functionality, performance, and security
• Effectively validate cloud-based solutions through deep knowledge of Azure services and .NET Core developments
• Timely identify, document, and resolve defects through structured tracking and collaboration with teams
• Create clear, comprehensive documentation of test procedures, results, and validation reports, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimization opportunities through robust testing of application scalability and reliability
• Enhance application security through vulnerability assessments and penetration testing in collaboration with security teams
• Maintain a reliable software update process through a maintained regression testing framework that prevents new issues
• Engage and educate the squad about validation requirements, providing technical guidance, setting goals and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Ensure Workplace Health & Safety policy and procedures are adhered to at all times
• Support JET Charge technology development as required
