QA Automation Engineer

Summary

Join Messari, a leading provider of crypto market intelligence, as a Data Quality Assurance Analyst. You will develop, execute, and improve data quality QA SOPs, exploring automation potential. Maintain the QA workflow, ensuring standardized data delivery to research analysts for report production. Serve as a liaison between Data and Research teams, ensuring seamless communication and accountability. Develop and execute automated tests using SQL and Python. This role requires proficiency in SQL and Python, a detail-oriented mindset, experience with large datasets, and familiarity with blockchain data and the crypto ecosystem.

Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with a proven track record of utilizing these languages for developing workflows, outputs, and automated tests
• Possess a detail-oriented mindset with a passion for automating processes and ensuring high standards of quality
• Have built dashboards for QA in the past in order to sanitize and monitor large amounts of data
• Extremely strong QA mindset, ability to quickly ideate on how to break things and find issues with complicated systems
• Experience working with large amounts of data
• Experience with software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, particularly within an automated testing environment
• Familiar with blockchain data and the broader crypto ecosystem
• Strong communication skills, capable of articulating technical issues and collaborating with a cross-functional team to address them

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute and improve data quality QA SOP and explore potential areas of automation
• Fully own and maintain the QA workflow that delivers data to research analysts in a standardized format for seamless syncing with internal tools and Figma to create charts and graphics
• Ensure complete, correctly formatted, and standardized data is delivered on time to research analysts for report production
• Act as the central liaison between Messari’s Data and Research teams, ensuring complete communication and accountability in real-time for deliverable tasks between both teams
• Write and execute automated tests using SQL and Python, ensuring comprehensive coverage from unit to integration tests

Preferred Qualifications

• A passion for and understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment, particularly within the fintech or crypto industries
• Based in (or willing to work) North American hours
