Summary

Join CD PROJEKT RED as a Senior/Specialist QA Engineer and contribute to the development of innovative games. You will be part of the Automation Framework team, focusing on automated testing strategies and frameworks for Unreal Engine projects. This role involves collaborating with various teams, developing reporting systems, monitoring pipelines, and participating in the Agile development cycle. The position requires extensive experience in software testing and automation, specifically within the gaming industry using Unreal Engine. Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, preferably within the gaming industry
  • Fluent in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, TypeScript) and one or more statically typed languages (e.g., C++, C#)
  • Extensive experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks for Unreal Engine
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine gameplay framework and working with blueprints
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and debug complex technical issues
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Very good command of English (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

  • Work within the Automation Framework Team, which develops testing frameworks and ensures their efficient integration and deployment
  • Contribute to the development of a robust reporting system for automated test insights
  • Proactively monitor automated test pipelines, ensuring identification and resolution of build failures
  • Collaborate with Tech, Art, QA, and DevOps teams, as well as central development services on a daily basis
  • Participate in the code review process
  • Participate in all parts of the Agile development cycle

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience shipping an Unreal Engine-based game for Xbox or PlayStation consoles
  • Experience working with highly multi-threaded code systems and/or engines
  • Experience with automation frameworks from other game engines or non-game related software projects
  • Experience with data query tools, such as SQL or similar
  • Experience with web development tools (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Experience with containerization and cloud technologies (e.g., Docker, AWS, GCP)
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum
  • Experience with product development software (e.g., Jira)
