Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or comparable experience
  • 2-4 years experience in a QA Engineer role
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies and testing approaches
  • Strong background building tests with Golang, Python (Pytest), Javascript (Cypress), and/or Ruby on Rails
  • Prior experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
  • Experience using Postman for API testing (REST and GraphQL)
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment, with ability to operate within short release cycles
  • Detail-oriented nature with strong discipline for adhering to guidelines

Responsibilities

  • Own the design, development, and execution of test suites for multiple services
  • Manually test newly developed features against acceptance criteria
  • Create regression test cases for existing functionality
  • Collaborate with developers to understand requirements and testing scenarios
  • Identify, isolate, document product defects, report issues, and verify the fixes
  • Execute automated tests and review results
  • Serve as a vocal advocate for quality in every step of the development process
