Join Sweed, a product-driven startup, as a Senior QA Engineer to contribute to our all-in-one cannabis retail platform. Collaborate with the development team, product managers, and designers to ensure quality. Perform manual and automated testing, identify and track defects, and improve QA processes. Requirements
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a QA engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on manual testing of complex software products
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, with hands-on experience in manual testing
- Experience in backend, frontend and e2e testing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to think critically and identify potential risks and areas of improvement
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
- Independent and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and a drive for continuous learning and improvement
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver high-quality results
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the development team, product managers, and designers to understand requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing, to validate complex functionality, edge cases, and user scenarios
- Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking systems, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution
- Continuously improve the QA process by proposing and implementing best practices, tools, and methodologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality goals, testing timelines, and release plans
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools is a plus
- Knowledge of performance testing, security testing, or other specialized testing areas is a plus
- Experience with mobile testing will be a plus
