Summary

Join our team as a proactive Mid-Level QA Engineer and take ownership of automation testing for our backend components. This role requires 3–4 years of QA experience in a dynamic environment. You will design, implement, and execute automated test plans, ensuring product quality and shaping QA processes. Responsibilities include creating and executing test plans based on Jira tickets, defining acceptance criteria, collaborating with a US-based QA tester, creating tools to improve QA efficiency, and identifying process gaps. The position requires proficiency with Cypress or similar frameworks and solid backend testing experience. Requirements

  • 3–4 years of experience in QA, with strong hands-on experience in automation testing
  • Proficiency with Cypress or similar automation frameworks
  • Solid backend testing experience
  • Experience using Jira and Postman; familiarity with IT/cybersecurity is a plus
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and proactively define test coverage and acceptance criteria
  • Flexible schedule to collaborate with a global team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take initiative in a dynamic environment
  • Work remotely Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week (no weekends)

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and run automated tests (primarily using Cypress) focused on backend components
  • Independently create and execute test plans based on Jira tickets and acceptance criteria
  • Proactively define acceptance criteria when missing
  • Collaborate with a US-based QA tester and coordinate work across time zones, including alignment with India-based developers via Jira and shared processes
  • Create tools and automate processes to improve QA efficiency
  • Identify and escalate gaps in development or testing processes when needed
