Summary
Join CARTO's Product Engineering team as a QA Lead and take ownership of testing activities, ensuring seamless planning and execution across the organization. Lead a remote-first team of three QA Analysts/Engineers based in Spain, fostering collaboration and excellence. Develop and refine QA processes, own the E2E automated testing strategy, and work closely with development teams. Become an expert in Spatial Analysis using SQL. Requirements
- 5+ Experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test in a production environment
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing high-performance teams
- Experience in E2E automated testing with tools like Playwright and experience writing Typescript
- Experience in test cases management tools like Testmo, TestRails or similar
- Understanding of modern CI/CD setups like those provided by GitHub and the use of indicators in quality control measures and processes to ensure that products meet quality specifications
- Hands-on engineer, lead by example
- Experience working with SQL
- Fluent English
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the QA team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices
- Develop and refine QA processes to generate actionable testing insights and effectively scale testing efforts across multiple features
- Own the E2E automated testing strategy and roadmap for the whole CARTO platform, including initiatives to close the gap in areas with lower coverage
- Work closely with development teams and Product implementing and reviewing E2E automated tests
- Become an expert in Spatial Analysis using SQL
