Summary
Join Riverside Insights as a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer and play a vital role in ensuring high-quality software for school districts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test, validate, and enhance software functionality, performance, and security. Execute manual and automated tests, design automation frameworks, perform regression testing, and create detailed test documentation. You will report and track bugs, collaborate with developers, review requirements, and participate in agile ceremonies. Requirements
- Proficiency in test planning, test case design, and execution
- Knowledge of automated testing tools and a commitment to staying current with advancements in testing methodologies (ex: playwright)
- Strong debugging, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Understanding of Agile methodologies, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with developers, product teams, and stakeholders
- Quality-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to process improvement and innovation
- Self-awareness, growth mindset, and judgment skills, with a passion for learning and applying new technologies
- Understanding of CI/CD pipeline
- Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman
- Experience with version control systems
Responsibilities
- Execute manual and automated test cases across web applications
- Design and implement test automation frameworks and scripts
- Perform regression testing alongside large releases
- Create and maintain detailed test documentation
- Report and track bugs through the full lifecycle
- Collaborate with developers to resolve issues
- Review requirements and provide testing estimates
- Participate in agile ceremonies and sprint planning
- Become a product expert, using that to support product, the engineering team, and other internal teams
- Focus on your growth to help level up on your own testing and/or engineering skills
