Quality Assurance Engineer

Summary

Join Scalable Capital, a leading digital investment platform in Europe, as a Mobile QA Engineer. You will collaborate with product managers and developers to create test strategies for the mobile software design, design and improve the testing process for both Android and iOS teams, create detailed test plans, write and execute functional and regression tests, and work in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements

• A university degree (B.Sc.) in Computer Science or a related field of study or equivalent
• Strong experience in writing test cases and test plans
• Experience with Android Studio, Android Emulator and ADB as well as Xcode, iPhone Simulator and iPhone devices
• Proficiency in utilizing Git/Github for version control
• Familiarity with Jira or similar task management tools
• Experience with defect logging and defect tracking until closure
• Work experience in an Agile/Scrum environment, with the ability to adapt testing strategies to fit Agile workflows
• Very good language skills in English and willingness to work in an international English-speaking team

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers and developers to create test strategies for all layers of the mobile software design
• Design and improve the testing process/continuous integration pipeline for both the Android and iOS teams
• Create detailed strategic test plans, actionable bug reports and follow-up on reviews
• Write and execute functional and regression, smoke and sanity tests

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience reading and understanding iOS (Swift, Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin, Java) Code
• Assist in investigating test failures, perform root-cause analysis
• Experience in development or test automation tools/frameworks as well as commercial test management tools like XRay, TestRail
• Knowledge of performance testing
