As a QA Engineer, your responsibilities include thinking like a user, testing and creating test strategies, evaluating issues and recommending solutions, automating testing processes, and deploying code frequently. Requirements
- A focus on quality. You understand the big picture and strive to use what you know to improve quality and velocity
- Technical know-how. You have in-depth experience with testing desktop, web and/or mobile applications, and deep knowledge of automation with tools such as Playwright and Selenium. You’ve worked with developers and QA to shift testing left in previous roles
- Customer-focused. You think critically about the user experience and want to do what you can to improve their workflows
- Problem solver . You’re proactive and have a drive to investigate and find solutions
Responsibilities
- Think like a user . Everyone at Hudl is expected to interact with our users
- Test . Use your customer and system understanding to create test strategies and plans
- Evaluate . You’ll find the root causes of issues and recommend corrective actions to address them
- Automate . You’ll use your knowledge to assess what to automate, then use design service and UI layer automation to ensure appropriate coverage
- Ship . You’ll test, talk with users, evaluate trends and deploy code on a frequent basis
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with hardware. You’ve tested with relevant hardware products, such as wearable devices
- Familiarity with performance testing tools and methodologies. If you’ve used these, and/or spent time ensuring data accuracy and verifying data integrity across systems, that’s a plus
