Summary

Join SimplePay's team as a Quality Assurance Specialist and contribute to delivering accurate and user-friendly products for our 50,000+ customers. You will collaborate with the QA team and others to ensure high-quality software. The role requires at least 5 years of experience in a similar role and an ISTQB certification or equivalent. You will be responsible for creating and executing test plans, identifying edge cases, and providing comprehensive feedback on test results. Preference is given to candidates with experience in automated testing frameworks and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Possess an ISTQB certification and/or any relevant qualifications related to Quality Assurance
  • Have at least 5 years of working experience in a similar role in a hybrid or fully remote and high-performing team
  • Demonstrate proven experience in QA, with exposure to or experience in software testing environments , preferably in tech, finance, or payroll-related domains
  • Exhibit abundant self-drive, with a strong ability to take ownership and deliver quality results in a fast-paced , deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Follow testing instructions and create test plans to validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes - ensuring system changes behave as expected with no regressions
  • Be comfortable with automated test frameworks - with the ability to create, enhance and maintain existing automated test scenarios
  • Test beyond typical scenarios to identify edge cases that may have been missed
  • Provide clear, comprehensive feedback on test results, including failures and improvement suggestions
  • Expand on testing instructions and modify test plans based on feedback and testing outcomes
  • Contribute to the improvement of QA processes, documentation and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience in automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium
  • Possess a track record in creating and executing test plans for new features , enhancements , and bug fixes
  • Have skill in identifying edge cases and testing beyond typical scenarios
  • Be familiar with automation tools and contributing to test suite growth
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude , with a keen eye for complex system issues
  • Have excellent written communication skills to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and expanding QA and automation practices
