This remote position, open to candidates in the US, Canada, and Mexico, is crucial to our company's continued growth. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of software testing techniques and digital solutions, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for evaluating requirements, developing and executing test cases, documenting defects, and collaborating with stakeholders. Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience working in Quality Engineering
  • API testing experience using Postman or a similar tool
  • Hands-on experience testing both mobile and web applications
  • Strong understanding of user/stakeholder experience
  • Experience with automation frameworks and automated test case creation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Agile and/or Kanban methodologies
  • Self-starter / proven ability to initiate and drive continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate Requirements: Understand stakeholder intent while reviewing written requirements in order to evaluate work completeness
  • Test Across Platforms: Confidently test both web and mobile applications to ensure a seamless experience for all users, regardless of device
  • Develop and Execute Test Cases: Create repeatable test cases to allow team members to accurately and efficiently test systems and products
  • Document Defects: Provide detailed defect documentation to engineers and have a strong understanding of defect priorities
  • Triage Escalated Issues: Conduct initial investigation into issues that have been submitted by other departments, help prioritize them, and assign to the appropriate team
  • Interact with Internal Stakeholders: Help keep stakeholders informed regarding major project releases and concerns
  • Solve Problems: Work to solve problems, understand differing positions, and provide solutions
  • Multi-Task: Rely on your organizational skills to help prioritize your work and task-switch easily
  • Own the Product: Cultivate a deep understanding of the product and champion for its success from a quality perspective
  • Contribute Ideas: Feel empowered to share your thoughts and ideas with the team
  • Shift Left: Participate in the discovery phase of our development process as needed to provide the quality perspective, estimate testing effort, and begin testing earlier

Preferred Qualifications

  • You know a thing or two about the Fleet management industry
  • Experience in SaaS
  • Experience with automation frameworks and automated test case creation or a demonstrated interest in learning test automation
