R&D Engineer

Summary

Join OREDATA, a Digital Transformation & IT Consulting firm, as a researcher in wired/wireless networking and/or data science technologies, focusing on 5G, SDN/NFV, IoT, Machine Learning, and AI. You will generate proposals, publications, and patents; propose, write, and execute EU and TUBITAK funded R&D projects; and coordinate R&D projects with startups, SMEs, and universities. This role requires strong communication and analytical skills, experience in core network architecture and 5G technologies, and article writing skills. Requirements

• Master or preferably PhD/PhD candidate in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a relevant engineering discipline
• Knowledge of core network architecture, protocols (e.g., GTP, SIP), key elements (e.g., MME,SGW, PGW, AUSF, SMF, UPF), Quality of Service (QoS) mechanisms, and core network evolution
• Knowledge of 5G architecture, New Radio (NR) interface, millimeter-wave (mmWave)technologies, Massive MIMO, beamforming, network slicing, Mobile Edge Computing (MEC),and an understanding of the 6G vision, potential use cases, and fundamental technological research
• Basic understanding of next-generation charging models applicable to 5G and beyond networks,including service-based charging, slice-based charging, event-based charging, Policy and Charging Control Function (PCF), and online/offline charging systems
• Minimum 6 years of experience in either professional or academic
• Have article writing skills
• Strong analytical skills and highly motivated team player
• Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in spoken and written English
• Effective presentation, reporting and documentation skills
• No travel restriction

Responsibilities

• Serve as a researcher in the areas of wired/wireless networking and/or data science technologies with the emphasis on 5G,SDN/NFV,IoT,Machine Learning and AI
• Generate proposals, publications and/or patents at national and international levels
• Propose, write and execute EU and TUBITAK funded R&D projects
• Coordinate R&D projects in collaboration with startups, SMEs and universities
• Contact point between R&D partners
• Investigate state-of-the art, such as; products, market, exhibitions, all academic publications and patents in relevant fields
