Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Residential Real Estate Paralegal! Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a real estate paralegal, specifically in residential transactions
  • In-depth knowledge of title insurance, closing procedures, and real estate documents
  • Proficiency with real estate software platforms (e.g., Qualia, SoftPro, or similar)
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and organize residential real estate closing documents
  • Draft and revise contracts, deeds, settlement statements (CDs/ALTA), affidavits, and title-related documentation
  • Order and review title searches, surveys, payoff statements, and insurance certificates
  • Coordinate communications and documentation with buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, and title companies to ensure smooth transactions
  • Manage escrow accounts and oversee the disbursement of funds at closing
  • Ensure compliance with North Carolina state and local real estate laws and regulations
  • Schedule and monitor critical dates and deadlines throughout the transaction process
  • Maintain comprehensive records of communications and transaction documents
  • Provide general administrative support, including file maintenance and correspondence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Notary Public certification is a plus
  • May require occasional travel for in-person closings or title office visits
