Recognition Data Intern

Summary

Join Trax Retail as a Data Recognition Specialist and contribute to managing recognition service tasks across the region. This fully remote position, available only to applicants residing in Mexico (preferably Mexico City), involves supporting the team lead in establishing efficient processes, assisting with product updates and training, enhancing image recognition system performance, and addressing internal issues. Responsibilities include monitoring data recognition systems, implementing new tools and processes, collaborating with internal teams, ensuring consistent process adherence, and resolving internal issues. The ideal candidate possesses a background in Data Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, fluency in Spanish and English, and strong analytical and communication skills. Experience in the Retail/CPG/FMCG market is preferred. Resumes must be submitted in English.

Requirements

• Studying or recently graduated in Data Science, Engineering, Business, or related fields
• Fluent in Spanish and English (Portuguese is a plus, but not required)
• Solid understanding of Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
• Basic knowledge of SQL or willingness to learn
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proactive, curious, and eager to grow
• Comfortable working remotely and independently
• Based in Mexico , ideally Mexico City (not required, but preferred)

Responsibilities

• Monitor the performance of data recognition systems and report key metrics
• Assist with implementing new tools and processes
• Collaborate with internal teams to support project improvements
• Ensure processes are followed consistently across project
• Help resolve internal issues and escalate them when needed
