Reference Database Developer

Job Description & Responsibilities:

Interactive Brokers seeks expert database developers to expand its reference data systems development team. Candidates must be ready to start designing, implementing, and loading Oracle-based data systems immediately.

Education:

• BS and MS in computer science.
• Candidates must have graduated with distinction.

Required Skills:

To immediately start designing, implementing, and loading Oracle-based data systems:

• Work closely with the development team based in other IBKR Offices in the US.
• Collaborate on scalability issues involving access to massive amounts of data and information.
• Research and develop technology solutions to extend and improve IBKR’s Reference Database Systems.

Expert-level skills in the following:

• Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
• Java programming language
• Python programming language
• Perl scripting language
• Linux operating system and Bash shell language
• Excellent communication

Required Experience:

• At least two years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and loading Oracle-based data systems.

Minimum Expectations:

• Immediately start designing, implementing, and loading Oracle-based data systems.
• Quickly learn to use Git, Gerrit, Confluence, and Jira.
