Summary

Recurve is a 100% distributed startup focused on solving complex clean energy grid challenges using their SaaS platform and analytics tools. They are seeking an experienced Regional Account Executive for the West Coast to help grow their business by positioning solutions, sourcing new opportunities, expanding revenue at current accounts, and developing strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the energy space, especially in EE, DR, and VPP topics, and be able to communicate effectively with team members across the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic market development or utility sales roles, preferably within the energy or climate tech space
  • Experience selling enterprise SaaS products to the utility space and utility partners
  • Demonstrable track record in energy markets and utilities, preferably in the area of demand-side management, distributed energy resources, and energy efficiency
  • Strong understanding of the industry including the West Coast energy landscape, with a focus on electric and gas utilities
  • Strong presentation skills and comfortability communicating with large, varied audiences
  • An assertive approach to challenging customers’ status quo and approaching new potential customers
  • An inquisitive mindset focused on identifying customer needs, key stakeholders, and identifying potential roadblocks early
  • Technical curiosity that will allow you to thrive in a cross-functional role and serve as a thought leader and early solutions consultant to clients
  • Experience with CRMs, Powerpoint, and Excel
  • Enjoyment working in a fast-paced environment, jumping in wherever is needed, and helping get things over the finish line
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, IT, Business Administration, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Identify and source new business opportunities with utility customers and partners
  • Expand revenue at current utility accounts against an annual SaaS and consulting services sales quota
  • Engage with channel partners and support the partnership team to develop strategic partnerships
  • Collaborate with DER providers and others in the energy and demand-side management industries
  • Lead account teams and work with Recurve leadership to follow up on potential expansion opportunities
