Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with valid license in state of Georgia
  • Current CPR certification
  • At least one (1) year of prior nursing experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess situations and make accurate observations in the workplace
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude to learn new applications
  • Works accurately, efficiently, and independently

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that initial assessment and reassessment (supervisory visits) are performed timely as required by rules and regulations
  • Supervises and evaluates the reassessment (within ten days) and skilled work performed by LPNs as defined by Company policy
  • Ensures that client care issues, changes and/or updates are documented and communicated to branch staff, direct care staff, case management and family
  • Reviews HRST and other documentation as required for DD cases, meeting with branch staff, direct care staff, family and DD support team as necessary to understand and advise on clinical issues
  • Provides or oversees the clinical orientation of new employees, including initial competency evaluation and training of staff as needed
  • Performs written Annual Competency Evaluations of all direct care skilled personnel (RNs and LPNs) and non-skilled personnel (CNAs and PCAs). Participates in periodic conference with the Branch Manager concerning direct care staff performance
  • Assesses and recommends solutions in areas of risk for clients, staff and organization
  • Reviews and corrects documentation errors according to currently accepted standards of medical practice
  • Ensures appropriate follow through and completion of documentation for incidents of clinical nature
  • Completes clinical audits as requested by supervisor
  • Ensures the compliant maintenance of TB testing supplies and proper disposal of syringes
