Rehab Consultant - Physio or Occupational Therapist

Summary

Join TWS, a trusted partner in workplace rehabilitation in Tasmania, as an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist. You will conduct worksite assessments, ergonomic evaluations, and pre-employment physicals to improve employee well-being and prevent injuries. The role requires accreditation, relevant experience, strong assessment skills, and excellent communication abilities. Requirements

• Accredited within your discipline, with full relevant registration
• Experience or interest in working in occupational health or clinical health settings, with primary caseloads being musculoskeletal and occupational health
• Strong assessment and observational skills
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent exercise and activity prescription skills
• Confidence to deliver in-person educational material to both individuals and groups of participants
• Demonstrated time management skills, and ability to manage a diverse workload with competing priorities
• Positive outlook with the ability to engage and influence and drive positive health outcomes
• Hold and maintain a current Australian Driver’s License, and a working with vulnerable people registration

Responsibilities

• Deliver a variety of services to clients including: Work site and Work place assessments, assisting in RTW after injury
• Ergonomic or Workstation Assessments
• Pre-employment or RTW physical assessments
• With the aim of improving employee well-being, preventing injuries, and enhancing performance, an OT or Physio at TWS provides evidenced based assessment, planning, and exercise-based interventions of the highest quality

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of worker’s compensation, rehabilitation and occupational health and safety legislation is beneficial
