Remote AFC Compliance Intern

Summary

Join our industry-changing team as an AFC Compliance Intern in the Business Advisory Team, supporting the AFC Compliance Department with key performance indicators, compliance controls, and proposing improvements to maintain a risk-based approach.

Requirements

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail, able to work with large data sets and generate insights
• Skilled in preparing slides and visual presentations that communicate critical data analysis effectively for internal reporting
• Practical experience with data tools like Excel and/or SQL. Experience with Snowflake or Python is a plus
• Interested in anti-financial crime topics, especially regarding anti-money laundering, terrorism financing and fraud
• Interest in learning about the monitoring and enhancement of compliance KPIs within a regulated financial environment
• Team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to tasks

Responsibilities

• Assist in the monitoring and analysis of AFC compliance-related KPIs to ensure they reflect accurate risk management strategies and regulatory
• Help ensure compliance activities, especially around Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF), and sanctions, are optimised to reflect a risk-based approach
• Collaborate with the team to develop reporting templates, dashboard insights, and analytical tools that enhance decision-making processes in the AFC Compliance Department
• Prepare high-quality reports and slides showcasing critical data analysis, trends, and insights for senior management and compliance teams
• Participate in compliance projects and contribute to the strategic planning of the AFC department's efforts to prevent financial crime
