Remote Assistant Controller

Summary

Join our team to dismantle barriers to housing for working families by assisting with daily and monthly accounting and financial functions as an Assistant Controller.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of combined experience in auditing, financial accounting, and reporting capacity for US companies
• At least 2 years management experience
• Excellent knowledge of US GAAP
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
• Excellent understanding of areas related to accounting for intercompany transactions, accounts payable cycle, accounts receivable cycle and collections

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing financial accounting and reporting activities for the US company
• Prepare financial data and companies ledgers for purposes of financial reporting and analysis
• Prepare analytical reviews and reporting packages for senior management
• Prepare financial reports as needed for statutory, banking, investment, and other purposes
• Assist in design and implementation of corporate accounting policies and procedures
• Assist corporate external audit efforts by assembling and reviewing working papers
• Assist in resolution of any accounting and internal control issues
• Improve timeliness and accuracy of financial closing and reporting
• Assume other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA
• Netsuite, Brex, ADP, Flocast experience
• 3-5 years of public accounting experience
