Summary
Join Intersect Power, a leading clean energy company, as a transactional attorney supporting a wide range of financing matters. This role requires 5-7 years of experience in M&A or renewable energy project finance and a JD from an accredited law school. Requirements
- J.D. from accredited law school and current license to practice in the US
- 5 - 7 years experience focused on mergers and acquisitions or renewable energy project finance
- Deep understanding of project development and financing for renewable energy projects and energy infrastructure in the US
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail, including the ability to organize, plan, coordinate and implement large and cross-functional projects and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform under pressure, work independently and follow through on tasks to completion in a timely manner
- Sound judgment to identify red-flag issues and escalate them as required
- Ability to contribute to discussions of general business issues and understand and advise internal stakeholders in a manner consistent with the companyβs goals and culture
- Desire to continually learn and grow
Responsibilities
- Advise on the structuring and execution of project M&A transactions
- Draft, review, and negotiate definitive documentation for membership interest purchase agreements, purchase and sale agreements, asset purchase agreements and related ancillary documentation
- Manage outside counsel through deal negotiations and execution
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate due diligence processes
- Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies for individual projects and the business as a whole
