Remote Back-End Software Engineer (Python)

ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a dynamic and innovative company specializing in Geospatial Intelligence and Earth observation solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Back-End Software Engineer (Python) to join their team.

📌 Location: Athens - Northern Suburbs

📍 Working Model: The working model is highly flexible, allowing for three days of remote work and two days in the office

🖋️ You will be reporting to: Technical Manager

What you will do:

As Back-End Software Engineer will have a strong background in backend development, with a focus on designing and implementing scalable, high-performance systems. You will play a crucial role in developing the backbone of applications, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems and services

• Collaborating with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions

• Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code

• Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability

• Ensuring the security and integrity of applications

• Troubleshooting and debugging issues as they arise

• Mentoring and guiding junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth

• Degree in Computer Science or other relevant disciplines

• 4+ years of proven experience in Back-End Development

• Strong proficiency in backend development with Python

• Experience with SQL and database systems

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns

• Experience with version control systems (Git)

• Very good command of both the Greek and English languages

Will be highly appreciated:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization tools

• Experience with geospatial data and Earth observation technologies.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of Authentication workflows and securing applications (OpenID, OAuth2, etc.)
